Jellysmack has developed state-of-the-art technology built around four products aimed at optimizing video creation and distribution on social networks. These tools are made-to-measure solutions for Creators and our Jellysmackers. Our end-users are closely involved in the design process!

More precisely, tech team creates tools used by our operational teams (such as content, sales, growth hackers, etc.) in order, for instance, to uncover the most promising creators, operate their channels or give precise insights on video performances. We fuel these tools with a big bunch of algorithms, statistics and machine / deep learning.

Thanks to our Squad model organization, we are collaborative by nature. We also take time to improve our technical skills: the Tech Friday Party occurs every two weeks on Friday afternoon allowing time to our Jellytech people to work on personal R&D projects. So, are you ready to join?

Your mission

To foster the company's growth, we are looking for talented Back-end Software Engineers to join our fast-growing Engineering department (60+ people).

As a Back-end Software Engineer, you will be part of a team of 15+. As part of a Tech team of more than 120 people, you’ll work in Scrum mode alongside business users, Product owners, Front-end Engineers, QA, Data Scientists, and Data Analysts in one Squad of 12 people max.

You’ll collaborate with different departments (Content, Sales, Creator Program, Growth, Finance) on various projects, including performance analysis of our channels, content suggestion, audience analysis, performance marketing, process optimization, etc.

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Creating new features, involving technical design, development of course, but also test and deployment, because yes, devs release their own development.

• Ensuring the smooth working of our services (debug power, but also refactoring when necessary).
• Suggesting new technical and functional ideas.
• Reviewing the code from you pals, because we love clean, optimized and readable code :)
• Sharing your technical watch, being the top of the technologies in a major concern.

Jellysmack’s technical Stack:

• Language: Vue.js, the back-end is written in Python, Rust and C++.
• Python librairie and tools: FastAPI, Pypika, Pytest, Docker
• Databases: Aurora, Redshift, ElasticSearch on AWS.
• Environment: We use Pycharm / VSCode and Jupyter but we’re open to anything, and you'll be able to work on your preferred OS.

A little about you:

• You already have experience with back-end REST APIs (GraphQL is a plus).
• You love to deal with large amount of data, you're not afraid about SQL and data models.
• You like to be involved in the features design, the product is something that really matters.
• You are DevOps oriented, because you like to know what's going on on production.
• You are curious and involved about performances tuning and best practices.
• You can have a professional English conversation.
